There's always something happening
Live music on fall weekends, a candy cannon at 1pm sharp, Pumpkin Fest in September and a wassailing market to close the year. Fifty acres of things to do with kids, 35 minutes north of Kansas City in Historic Weston, Missouri.

The fall kickoff
Live music plays across the farm every fall weekend, soundtrack included with admission. Grab a cider on the Cider Barn patio and settle in.

Every Saturday and Sunday in the fall, the candy cannon fires at 1pm and the scramble is on. Kids, know your positions.

Sixteen afternoons of live music from September 5 through October 25, included with admission. Pull up a chair at the Cider Barn, pour something local, and let the kids wear themselves out on the play zones.

The grown-ups get a day too
While the crew runs the play zones, the Cider Barn pours estate wines and eight taps of hard cider made from fruit grown right here. Live music plays every Saturday and Sunday afternoon through September and October, the patio looks down the orchard rows, and the bakery handles dessert.

One trip, a whole day of it
Looking for things to do near Kansas City with kids? This is a full day in one stop: pick apples or pumpkins in season, run the 16 play zones, ride the hayrack, get lost in the corn maze, and finish with warm cider donuts while the grown-ups taste at the Cider Barn.
Families make the trip from Kansas City, Leavenworth, Platte City, St. Joseph and everywhere between for a family-friendly day out, most are here inside 40 minutes, and apple festival season in Historic Weston fills the town’s own calendar too.
