A winery in a wine town
This town has been growing grapes on the Missouri River bluffs since the 1800s, and wine is half the reason people drive out here at all. Our vineyard sits right in that tradition, with one difference: we’re the winery with 17,000 apple trees and a peach orchard out the back door.
That’s why the list runs from a dry Norton, Missouri’s own state grape, to wines made of the same peaches, cherries and apples you can pick yourself fifty yards away.

The grown-up side of the orchard
The Cider Barn rotates four taps from a bench of ten hard ciders, all pressed from our own fruit. Come twice, drink differently.
Four taps rotate through the bench. Cider slushies and hot spiced cider pour on the all-ages side.
Try before you commit
A flight pours four of the rotating taps side by side, with staff who will walk you through every selection, the easiest winery visit near Kansas City to bring the whole family to. Live music plays on fall weekends, and the outdoor seating looks straight down the orchard and vineyard rows. Sip on the patio while the kids hit the play zones, everyone wins.

Taste the legacy
The grapes grow a short walk from where you’ll drink them, beside the peaches, cherries and apples that become the fruit wines and ciders. Two generations of the same family tend all of it.
Rent the barn
Rehearsal dinners, birthdays, work nights out: the Cider Barn hosts private events with the taps on and the vineyard out the window. Weddings and receptions run through our event venue.
Closer than you think
