Apple Cider Donuts Near Kansas City

Fried all day from cider we press ourselves, rolled in cinnamon sugar while they are still too hot to hold. Get them by the half dozen and eat the first one in the parking lot like everybody else does.

Not from a jug

The Cider Comes From These Trees

Most cider donuts around Kansas City start with cider from a jug. Ours start in the rows.

Apples off our own 17,000 trees get pressed into cider, the cider goes into the batter, and the donuts come out of the fryer through the day. That is the whole recipe, and it is why they taste different from the ones at the grocery store.

Get them warm. They do not last the drive home, and plenty of people show up for these alone.

Picked Apples off our own trees, roughly 17,000 of them.
Pressed Those apples go to the press and come out as cider.
Batter The cider goes into the batter. That is the part nobody local can copy.
Fried Through the day, rolled in cinnamon sugar while they are still warm.
Four steps, one hill, and no jug of cider from a supplier anywhere in it.

Apple Cider Donut Questions

Yes, fried through the day at the farm bakery. Ask at the counter which batch just came out.

The bakery is inside the farm, so admission applies during the ticketed season. See tickets for current rates. Admission covers all 16 activities, so the donuts are the excuse, not the whole trip.

About 35 minutes north of downtown, straight up I-29. Twelve minutes from Leavenworth, fifteen from Platte City.

Half dozen or dozen at the counter. They keep, but they are best the day they are made.
