Peaches
Historic Weston Orchard & Vineyard is one of Kansas City's largest peach orchards, home to 8 varieties of peaches. Our peaches are freestone peaches (cling-free) meaning the flesh is not attached to the pit making them great for cooking and eating. Come on out for some peach picking! Our peach season starts mid July and goes through the end of August.
Red Haven
Available mid July
An excellent freestone peach with red-blushed, yellow skin and firm. A sweet peach that is ideal for fresh eating, canning, and freezing.
Crest Haven
Available mid July
A medium to large sized, golden to yellow over fruit. It is nearly fuzzless. The firm yellow flesh resists browning. Great for fresh eating, canning, or cooking.
Blazing Star
Available late July
A firm-fleshed round peach that ripens at the end of the Redhaven season. It is 90% solid blazing red with delicious, non-browning yellow flesh.
All Star
Available late July/early August
A beautiful, bright red freestone peach with clear yellow flesh. The fruit is very firm and stores well.
Blushing Star
Available August
A creamy white flesh with a sub-acid flavor are the decent notes of this peach. It is a medium sized peach, perfect for eating and the non-browning makes it a great canning peach as well. This peach also smells good with a floral scent to it.
Glowing Star
Available August
This peach produces a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. A medium-to-large freestone peach with excellent color and firmness.
Flaming Fury
Available August
This red blushed large peach has set world records for the largest peach at 1.5 lbs! It has a sweet flavor with a slight tang to it.
Klondike (white peach)
Available late August
Our only white peach that has a firm fruit and a memorable low-acid flavor. It is very large in size and high in color with a light red blush skin over firm white fruit.
